GLBT Historical Society

Often referred to as San Francisco's "queer Smithsonian," the GLBT Historical Society houses one of the world's largest collections of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender historical materials. Visitors outside of the San Francisco area can explore the museum's online exhibitions here.

The Frank Kameny Papers

Frank Kameny became a pioneer of the LGBT movement after being fired from his government job in 1957 for being gay. To learn more about his life-long dedication to LGBT equality, visit The Frank Kameny Papers, an archive of his correspondence, memorabilia, and journalism from the LGBT caucus within the Special Libraries Association.
